These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Gathered mobile application and related services (the “Service”), operated by Jack Riley Garber (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or signing in, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Gathered is a private small-group Bible reading and prayer app. You may create or join private groups, post reading entries, prayer requests, praise reports, reactions, and notes, and receive optional push notifications.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account in Settings.

3. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content & Abuse

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post, share, or engage in content or behavior that is:

• Harassing, threatening, bullying, hateful, or abusive
• Obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit
• Violent, encouraging self-harm, or otherwise dangerous
• Fraudulent, spam, phishing, or impersonating others
• Illegal, or infringing others’ rights (including privacy and intellectual property)
• Otherwise inappropriate for a faith-based small-group community

We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement when appropriate. Users can flag objectionable content and block abusive users inside the app. We also apply automated filtering to help block common forms of objectionable language when content is posted.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that content solely to operate the Service for your private groups. Content in a group is visible to that group’s members.

5. Safety Tools

Gathered provides:

• Terms acceptance before sign-up or sign-in
• Content filtering for common objectionable language on new posts
• Flag / report on readings and prayers
• Block user so you no longer see that person’s content
• Account deletion in Settings

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we revise them.
